The Accept Router

The Accept Router...

local_users:
   driver = accept

The accept router is the most basic and simplistic router of the bunch. As with other routers in Exim, the name is very descriptive. The accept router... accepts... that's what it does. A typical example of the accept router:

Options...

The accept router has no options of it's own. However, it does share all the general i.e. generic options that apply to all routers.

Another Example...

go_ahead:
   driver = accept

This router definition would be used to verify a local user on the system. But would never route an address to a transport because of its verify_only general action option. This is why this instance has no transport defined.
